About the Founder

Layme Duck Consulting was founded by Matt Hutaff, a California native trained in print journalism. A graduate from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communications, Hutaff has pursued a hybrid career as a writer and as a creator of the online medium.

Hutaff has been involved with dozens of web sites, ranging from advertising agencies, political campaigns, and small businesses to B2B solutions in the Internet arena. His knowledge includes graphic design, ASP and PHP site development, and content management systems. An emphasis on ease of use, navigation, and implementation over bandwidth-intensive presentations is evidenced in his work.

Hutaff also stays true to his writing roots. In addition to writing copy for various clients over the years, he also recently wrapped production on a Canon Fodder, a political column he wrote for The Simon for four years. He is an active participant in workshops with Pulitzer Prize-winning writers and is the only two-time recipient of the Art Buchwald Award for Satire.

Hutaff currently resides in Southern California.
